Designing for Peace!

Weekend Course in Santa Barbara California

May 30th to June 1st 2008

Facilitated by Loren Luyendyk with Special Guests

The Workshop was a Great Success!

Thank you to all who participated!

Two Projects were completed during the weekend.  The first one was a Compost Pile Hot Water Heater.  A coil of 3/4” irrigation tubing was layered into fresh brush, straw, and manure slurry.  The pile reached 120 deg F in 24 hrs, eventually reaching 140 deg!

Most exciting for many was the Water Car Demonstration on Sunday.  Dan Kuhn of Drive Hydro Now showed us his 2002 Mitsubishi SUV that he has rigged to get 50% fuel savings.

An electrical current generated by the car’s alternator is passed through a bath of distilled water and baking soda, producing hydrogen and oxygen gas (HHO or Hydroxy).  This gas is routed into the air intake on the fuel injection system.

We plan on offering a workshop dedicated entirely to converting your car to run on water.
